The mission
doesn't end
at discharge.

Introducing the SUAS QRF App — a veteran-first platform that replaces the silence of discharge with squad, structure, and belonging.

The problem
"The enemy after discharge isn't foreign. It's waking up with no formation, no unit, no mission."

1 in 3 veterans report significant social isolation post-service. The highest-risk window is the first two years after discharge — and no standard of care reaches them where they are.

Crisis hotlines help at the edge. They don't prevent the months of silence that leads there.

How isolation compounds

The cycle
that kills.

01  —  TRIGGER
Discharge
The unit dissolves. Years of structure, identity, and belonging disappear overnight. There is no offboarding from war.
02  —  COMPOUND
Silence
No squad. No formation. Civilian peers don't understand. Reaching out feels like admitting defeat.
03  —  CRISIS
Alone
Isolation deepens into depression. By the time crisis arrives, the veteran has already been unreachable for months.
The solution
Your unit,
in your pocket.

The SUAS QRF App is the mobile companion to suasqrf.org — veteran-first, built for the way veterans actually live: peer connection, shared events, and immediate crisis access, all in one place.

Connect
Peer-matched with veterans who've been there — same branch, same era, same struggle.
Gather
Find events near you. Cookouts, hikes, surf sessions — RSVP in two taps.
!
Respond
988 always one tap away. No buried menus. No hunting. Just there.
What it does

Five pillars.

Peer Connect
Match by branch, era, and situation. Real conversations — not a helpline, not a forum. A squad.
Event Finder
BBQs, camping, hunting, surfing, skydiving. Find what's near you. RSVP instantly.
Crisis Line
Persistent 988 shortcut at the bottom of every screen. One tap. No friction. Always on.
Resource Nav
Benefits, housing, mental health — filtered to your situation. No VA maze required.
Mission Feed
Live updates from the SUAS community and website. The unit stays loud.
The ecosystem

Same community.
Every screen.

The SUAS website at suasqrf.org is the home base — credibility, content, organization. The app is the field unit. They share one event calendar, one community feed, and one mission.

A veteran finds SUAS on Facebook or Google, lands on the site, and downloads the app. App users volunteer, donate, and share — driving traffic back. The loop closes. No veteran falls through the gap between screens.

What success looks like

The app doesn't replace SUAS's human work. It scales it — so one coordinator can support ten times as many veterans as before.

Who we are

Built on the ground.
Running since 2022.

SUAS is not a startup. We are an operating nonprofit with a track record — events run, veterans reached, community built. This app scales what already works.

What we need

Join the QRF.

Financial
Fund It
Donations fund app development, server infrastructure, and event programming. Fully tax-deductible under IRC Section 170. Sponsor recognition on app and site.
Technical
Build It
iOS, Android, backend engineers, and UX designers who want to put their skills toward something real. Pro bono or contract.
Organizational
Partner
VA hospitals, VSOs, military installations. We need distribution partners who can connect us to the veterans who need us before crisis arrives.
Community
Show Up
Event organizers, peer counselors, drivers, cooks, guides. The app scales the logistics — people make it real. Veterans and civilians both.
